Laced up the front through four eyelets, the leather creased across the instep, and the sole coming away at the toe, the way an old boot's does; the ring at the heel. Modelled on both sides. Worn on a bracelet since the days a boot meant luck for the journey — tied to the back of the wedding car, or to the wrist.
