Flat-soled, one a step ahead of the other, a twisted cord round each opening, the insoles stippled, and a knot of gold beads on each toe; scrollwork runs along the outer walls, and the soles are plain, one of them hallmarked. Cast heavy for their size. For the dancer, or for the end of a long day.
