Up on its hind legs, one paw out with a pearl held in it and the tail out behind for balance; the coat engraved hair by hair, the ears pricked, and two rubies for eyes. A brooch, not a charm — the pin and its catch run down the back, and the hallmarks are on the belly. Five grams of 9ct, and all of it cat.
